We have enjoyed serving you and your clients with our medical stop loss insurance. Humana strives to be your trusted partner for several of your benefit and well-being product/service needs. As we grow our health, well-being, and specialty benefit lines of business, we have to make choices to position our organization for the future. We have decided to exit the medical stop loss business for cases with claims administered by entities outside of Humana.
We are excited to provide your customers with the opportunity to renew your medical stop loss coverage with HCC Life Insurance Company. HCC has tremendous background in the stop loss business and is prepared to offer a smooth transition for your customers. HCC is also available to handle new business quotes for you as well.
Our mutual stop loss customers can maintain their current coverage with Humana (Kanawha Insurance Company) until their next renewal date. Any other product lines you have with Humana will not be impacted. Humana will continue to market our bundled ASO and stop loss products in our medical markets.
