So last week I posted that ICU charges by hospitals are $15,000 to $50,000 per day with the actual cost being $1,150 per day and the common payment being $3,000 to $4,000 per day by large health insurance companies. Now as soon as I did that, I get the big whopper – $124,721 per day ICU stay. It’s Hospital Corporation of America, or HCA.
