Brownsville Independent School District, the largest employer south of San Antonio, Texas is seeking an insurance consultant for the district’s self-funded employee health & welfare plan.
Whoever they choose will decide whether the district maintains the failed status quo of the past 40 years or embark on new strategies that lower costs 25% and more while improving benefits at the same time.
However, the later will require rare political courage.
