IRVING, TX — In a recent Annual Report to the Pharr/San Juan/Alamo (PSJA) Independent School District, HealthSmart reported a total healthcare plan savings of $707,685 for 2010 and a total average annual savings of $464,768 for the past six years.
HealthSmart’s Onsite Primary Care Clinic, which includes pharmacy benefits, has saved the district nearly $2.8 million since it was installed in 2004.
Janet Robles, the assistant superintendant of finance for PSJA said, “At a time when healthcare costs have continued to rise across the country, HealthSmart’s Clinic costs have remained the same, providing an increased return on investment.”
