The prior consultant who served Willacy County for 20 years resigned effective August 1, 2026. The county is now seeking a replacement.
The Willacy County Health Plan has achieved remarkable success in controlling health care costs through innovative risk management strategies. Plan costs have remained static for years while benefits have been improved at the same time.
Reserves are well established. Direct provider agreements along with direct primary care and cash pay point of service claim adjudication strategies provide plan members with no out-of-pocket health care expenses.
Effective October 1, 2026 the county’s TPA will be 90 Degree Benefits.
