Gastroparesis, Muscle Loss, Blindness — Ozempic Lawsuits Make Serious Claims and a Viral Video Is Adding to the Debate

Novo Nordisk, the manufacturer of Ozempic, is facing numerous lawsuits in the United States from patients who allege they developed serious gastrointestinal injuries, including gastroparesis, after using GLP-1 medications. Similar lawsuits have also been filed against Eli Lilly. Many of these cases have been consolidated in federal multidistrict litigation, where plaintiffs argue drugmakers didn’t properly warn users about potential risks. The litigation is ongoing.
