2024 Individual Health Insurance Enrollment Sets Record.
A record 19 million Americans are expected to purchase individual coverage with other people’s money for 2024 effective dates.
The government points to the record enrollment as undeniable evidence free stuff sells easier than not-so-free stuff, “proving the health law is working for more and more Americans.”
The Biden administration Wednesday said more than 15.3 million Americans have already have signed up for health insurance marketplace plans in states that use HealthCare.gov, which is a 33% increase compared to this time a year ago.
There are about 15.7 million people enrolled in individual health plans of which about 14.3 million are receiving premium subsidies. Many if not most receive up to a 100% premium discount courtesy of Uncle Sam.
