Law360, New York (October 3, 2016, 11:50 AM EDT) — Tenet Healthcare Corp. and two of its hospitals will pay $513 million and enter guilty pleas to resolve investigations into payments of kickbacks for referrals of pregnant immigrants, the U.S. Department of Justice said Monday.
The guilty pleas will be entered by two Tenet subsidiaries in Georgia — the operators of Atlanta Medical Center Inc. and North Fulton Medical Center Inc. — that are copping to charges of conspiracy to defraud the federal government and conspiracy to pay kickbacks and bribes in violation of the Anti-Kickback…
