Bus driver Ms. Katrina Daniels smiles as her bus fills up for a five year bus ride to Less Choice, Texas.
“I’ve got room for everyone, so come on down!” said Katrina in a recent interview by Sports Illustrated. “The fare is going up again but hey, that’s life” she continued.
“What do you tell passengers who want to get off the bus?” ask a reporter.
“Good riddance, and don’t come whining back wanting to get back on, in fact we don’t want to see you for the next five years! huffed Daniels as she abruptly terminated the interview. “I’ve got some gloating to do!”
“But you single handedly beat commercial health care competitors. How did you do that” yelled the Sports Illustrated reporter as he ran after her.
“It was easy. This was the ultimate sporting event this legislative session. Those cats simple didn’t hit the practice field early enough. They didn’t work the referees before the game even started. They thought it was going to be an easy win so they didn’t prepare” crowed Daniels as she stopped to take off her high heels before jogging barefoot down Congress Blvd as breathless reporters tried to keep up.
Reporters followed her to the Stateman Club. It soon became apparent her intent was to satisfy a strong inner urge to exact gloating revenge on defeated renegade lobbyists lurking in the shadows of the cigar room on the second floor.
“Hi boys, how does it feel to lose? said Daniels as she curled up on a bar stool with her cigarette holder in hand. “Anyone have a light?”
“Go away and leave us alone Katrina, can’t you see we’re pouring over Insurance Code 1501” purred the Cheshire cat in the corner.
