During a recent renewal meeting an employer asked if (BUCA) would object if they hired an outside audit firm to review claims. Before the rep. could answer I jumped in and read the BUCA rep. the HealthCare Miranda Rights :
You have the right to blabber and it will not be held against you
You have the right to remain silent to the best extent possible by answering incoherently
You have the right to call your immediate supervisor for guidance and advice while displaying empathy
You have the right to say “NO” and it won’t be held against you by most plan sponsors
You have the right to opaquely describe your own audit services as superior to any alternative
You have the right to uphold your sworn employment oath of non-disclosure
You have the right to leave promising to return with your Sr. Vice President and staff with “answers”
