Government Turbocharges Individual Health Insurance

Government subsidized individual health insurance creates an unfair advantage for private employer sponsored health plans……………

Employers offering group health insurance pay a lot of money these days. Health insurance is expensive. But the federal government has decided health insurance doesn’t need to be expensive and they are betting their (your) money on it.

Government subsidized individual health insurance creates an unfair advantage for private employer sponsored health plans. Uncle Sam has the ability to print money while employers who do will go to jail.

The government will now be paying more towards individual health insurance beginning April 1, 2021 and they will allow an Open Enrollment to extend through August 2021. This means lower rates for members and immediate coverage for pre-existing conditions for new entrants.

Almost any Tom, Dick or Harry will qualify. People who make more than 400 percent of the federal poverty level, about $100,000 for a family of four, will become eligible for financial assistance for the first time, helping prevent them from having to pay full freight for their plans.

About 80 percent of people will be able to find plans for $10 or less after subsidies (welfare), up from 69 percent before the American Rescue Plan, signed into law by the Biden administration.

Individual coverage will be cheaper and better for many employees currently enrolled in an employer sponsored group plan.
