William Rusteberg and I presented today at the Employer’s Healthcare Congress at the LA Convention Center today. The audience was Fortune 1000 HR directors.
We presented solutions for self-funded Employers to reduce their spend by at least 25% or more compared to carrier PPO networks.
We informed them and shared real examples of Direct Contracting, Cash Pay Options, Bundled Cash Payments and Referenced Based Pricing options.
The room was full for the entire one hour presentation and everyone was super engaged. It was incredible! Times have changed.
No one wanted to hear about basic PPO options. They definitely want and need more savings and more creative flexible options that only Independent TPA’s with remarkable TPA’s can provide.

Remember, I worked for a carrier for 21 years and I am even surprised how quickly Plan Sponsors are giving up on things like network discounts and the need to have a huge PPO network.
All the options we spoke about can be added to a carrier network for a TPA, like Continental Benefits, except RBR. Huge Change!!
