Brownsville ISD To Consider Status of District’s Insurance Consultant
The Brownsville Independent School District is scheduled to consider the status the district’s insurance consultant during their April 7, 2026 board meeting.
Roger Garza, founder of Valley Risk Consulting Inc., is a well-known insurance consultant in deep South Texas, His company manages many of larger public-school districts in the Lower Rio Grande Valley among which two of the largest include McAllen ISD and Brownsville ISD.
The Brownsville ISD is the largest employer south of San Antonio whose annual budget exceeds half a billion dollars. United HealthCare is the district’s self-funded health plan administrator.
This is not the first Palace Coup attempt to oust Roger. Smart money bets 2 for 1 this one will fail too.
