This strategy reduces ER visits, Rx spend, Specialty visits, surgical procedures and hospital admissions while improving patient experience. The intended result is lower plan costs through better benefits by removing all patient financial responsibility for “playing by the rules.”

Managed Care Plans are plans whose cost basis you are not allowed to see nor audit. You are only a third party beneficiary with no rights. By entering into these Contracts of Adhesion you are gifting comingled plan assets on an unknown cost basis, a breach of fiduciary responsibility one could argue.

Once an employer understands what’s driving the cost of health care they focus on that instead of focusing on the cost of health insurance.
