Grand Prairie Independent School District joins a growing list of Texas school districts wanting out of the health insurance business.
More Texas school districts are finding the grass is not always greener on the other side. We are seeing what appears to be a mass movement by as many as 40 renegade districts anxious to join the TRS ActiveCare government plan in 2026.
TRS battle plan targets have been degraded over time by health care partisans posing as insurance brokers bearing gifts and promises. Weakened by false hope induced by partisans posing as saviors has directly contributed to easy conquest by Conquistadora Katrina “Hurricane” Daniel and her “take no prisoners” troops in Austin.
In every instance we are aware of there has not been a single district outside of TRSAC that has sustained rates lower than TRSAC over time by adopting a legacy PPO plan replacement.
Now we learn the Grand Prairie Independent School District has thrown in the towel. At their December Board meeting, the Grand Prairie ISD Board of Trustees voted to opt in to TRS-ActiveCare for health benefits beginning September 1, 2025.

Meanwhile another school district sitting on a ticking time bomb continues to roll the dice. It’s just a matter of time before they too join the TRS ActiveCare Mother Ship.
