The TASB Benefit Cooperative in partnership with selected vendors sells health insurance to employees of Texas public school districts. Insurance brokerage provides an important revenue source for the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB).

Insurance products include group medical insurance and voluntary benefits. One of TASB’s selected vendors is a company that sells and manages ICHRA plans as well as other offerings.
While not known for pushing ICHRA as an alternative to traditional group health plan offerings, TASB has partnered with Gravie , an ICHRA administrator.

To our knowledge TASB has not had to pull the ICHRA trigger yet. To do so would adversely affect commissions earned by the association through their brokerage partnerships. But we suspect that will change very soon.
