Hello Down There….Trouble Breathing?
Two unelected government bureaucrats, Elizabeth Choi and Amy S. Wei of the Office of Associate Chief Counsel, have issued their ruling that provides a safe harbor for condoms.
Sandra Fluke, Champion of Free Contraception & 2009 Winner of the Immaculate Conception Award, is ecstatic! “Choi and Wei Rock! Fertile Americans, no matter their sex, have a right to free stuff.”
The ruling allows an individual taxpayer an itemized deduction for certain medical care expenses. Choi and Wei have determined “medical care” means “the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease, or for the purpose of affecting any structure or function of the body.”
“This notice provides a safe harbor under section 213 of the IRS Code for amounts paid for condoms…..The Treasury Department and the IRS will treat amounts paid for condoms as amounts paid for medical care under section 213(d).”
