Instead of Paying More Towards Your Insurance Here’s Your 1% Raise

The previous year, the board approved a 2% salary increase and all employees received a one-time $500 bonus in January at a cost of $3.4 million.

Seems to us that the money could be better spent towards the district’s insurance plan. That would have been a tax free benefit which would mean a raise in the employee’s next paycheck.
