The suspect to the right is the benefits person for the City of McAllen. Both are talking about an $8,000,000 savings realized since the city put in a Direct Primary Care benefit. That will buy a whole bunch of enchiladas!
Now that the City of McAllen has tasted something “new” and different what will they do next? Will they move away from their BUCA managed health plan in favor of something else which, for the past two decades, has proven to save money while improving benefits at the same time for other Valley plan sponsors? Their current BUCA managed benefits broker/consultant has to be worried.
