Employers Blamed For High Cost of Health Care

$4000 Health Insurance Family Rates – This is not Sustainable – It’s Time to Change our Health Insurance Financing Systems

I just saw ANOTHER $4000 Family Rate. Many believe health insurance is expensive because health care is expensive. I disagree. Much like college education and housing in 2008, it is our financing system that drives the inflation of the underlying products. In this case, the employer controlling the choosing of health insurance is the root cause of escalating costs.

You need to get employers out of the middle to tackle the problem. To perpetually blame the BUCA’s and hospitals while not looking at the system many brokers are supporting is only contributing to the problem.

There is a solution but the blockers need to stop blocking.

There’s a lot of truth to this. Employers who continue to subscribe to managed care contracts they can’t see nor audit are guilty of driving up health care costs, not the hospitals, professional providers and third party intermediaries who happily take all the money fools throw at them.
