Does Your Rx Plan Cover RU-486?

RU-48 was developed in 1980 and came into use in France in 1987. It became available in the United States in 2000. It is on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines.

RU-486 is used for the medical treatment of high blood sugar caused by high cortisol levels in the blood (hypercortisolism) in adults with endogenous Cushing’s syndrome who also have type 2 diabetes mellitus or glucose intolerance and have failed surgery or cannot have surgery.

It’s also used for abortions.

In states banning abortion will physicians prescribe RU-486 for abortions under the guise of  treatment for high blood pressure, diabetes, glucose intolerance and Cushing’s syndrome?
