“Critical thinking is the process of analyzing available facts, evidence, observations, and arguments to make sound conclusions or informed choices.” – Wikipedia
What is the opposite of critical thinking? – GROUP THINK
If one were to apply critical thinking to American health care finance they would question the role of third party barriers to health care delivery. Few do.
“Why are so many in the examining room?” asks Little Johnny. “All the patient wants to see is their doctor, not a room full of invisible strangers!”
The teacher responds “Good question Johnny! The answer is ‘it’s just the way we do business in America!”
“But what value do all these invisible people bring to the patient? They are not doctors.” persists Johnny.
“Don’t be insolent! It’s the way it is. We have the best health care in the world and all these invisible people make it so!” says the exasperated teacher.
Johnny stammers…………“But don’t they drive up costs, not lower them?”
“Shut Up or I’ll send you to the principal’s office!” screams the contorted teacher.
