Christus Health’s Billing Is Not Christ-Like

I had to remind this Catholic nonprofit healthcare system with Christ’s name it it that the Our Father, Jesus’ recommended prayer to His Father, is based on forgiveness.”

1. Christus sent only a very unitemized bill below.
2. Patient requested an itemized bill but never received one.
3. Patient took the leash off me and I sent an itemized bill request back in August and never received a response.
4. Patient quoted estimated charges AT TIME OF DISCHARGE was $618. Note carefully: this is at DISCHARGE so the exact care that occurred and the exact pricing was available.
5. Then patient gets a bill for $2,310 – vastly different from the $618 at time of discharge. Two very different price tags for one same date and same type of care = fraud.
6. 10 minute clinical evaluation, no tests and discharged to home.

I had to remind this Catholic nonprofit healthcare system with Christ’s name it it that the Our Father, Jesus’ recommended prayer to His Father, is based on forgiveness. I have asked in writing for the $11,000,000 a year salary CEO Ernie Sadau, to apologize for to the patient in writing for the billing poor customers service and fraud. It is what Jesus would want.

Note: In the history of my life, no hospital executive has apologized for poor customer service or billing fraud, although numerous requests have been made.
