Brokers working public sector groups in deep South Texas have found their work challenging.
The Brownsville Independent School District issued a RFP for group insurance with a deadline of yesterday. Interested respondents worked hard to meet the deadline. But, at the very last minute, officials decided to extend the deadline to August 1.
Then, on the very same day BISD extended their deadline the City of Harlingen, in the midst of an active RFP solicitation decided to end the process by sending out a Dear John email – Sorry, We Changed Our Minds But I Can’t Tell You Why.
