Billy is a new website that allows you to compare hospital prices for healthcare services. The prices are based off of hospitals’ own pricing data that the Federal Government requires them to release to the public.
Not all hospitals have complied with the mandate, so there are some hospitals and some healthcare services that do not have data. An example of a Echocardiogram price comparison in Dallas is reviewed.

1) At Presbyterian Hospital, the Blue Cross price is $369, United $985, Aetna $1,497 and Cigna $1,975
2) At Baylor Hospital, the Blue Cross price is $2,466, United $2,248, Aetna $2,374 and Cigna $3,451 Baylor is much more expensive for echocardiograms for all of the major insurance carriers.
