The successful candidate will necessarily need to bring a team of experts to the table to include the following disciplines: actuary, legal, provider relations, forensic accounting and claim auditor.
The winner may be either a large nationally known firm with all the internal resources or an independent free-lancer with contractual partnerships in place with independent experts representing each discipline.
No one person is the Jack of All Trades. This will take a team effort.
“Consultant shall deliver an accurate forecast and industry trends including costs for two (2) and three (3) years ahead for budgeting purposes; negotiate provider contracts with the District’s best interests in mind; and consistently work to offer the best benefit options for Austin ISD staff members, including monetary savings.”
