A pair of long-standing San Antonio medical practices — Physician’s offices Allied Institute of Medicine and Alamo City Medical Group — have aligned their operations.

The combined entity will now be called Partners in Primary Care. It will have 11 clinical centers in San Antonio, New Braunfels, Seguin, Poth and Floresville and 35 health care practicioners. All of the facilities will accept new patients, including those in Medicare.

Dr. Bruce Begia, who will serve as vice president of medical operations for Partners in Primary Care, said the new organization “builds upon the 20-year history, reputation and clinical expertise” that made the two practices so successful.

Ron Stone, regional operations director for Partners in Primary Care, said the new practice will continue to serve all age groups but will expand on a successful model that specializes in the senior population and health management.

In addition to providing primary care service, the centers will also provide immunizations, injections, EKG, lab services, minor dermatological and surgical procedures and patient education.
