Happy First Day of Medicare Open Enrollment! It’s that time of year when our TV screens will feature this guy here.
And did you know that ICHRA pays for Medicare? This includes Part A, Part, B, Part C (Advantage), Part D (Prescriptions), and Medigap coverage.
Before starting Venteur, I thought Medicare was overly complicated, scary, and weird. To be honest, it is still all of those things. It’s got too many letters and you have to pay for the first 3 pints of blood if you ever need them (aka “the Blood Deductible”).
But it’s also incredible coverage. It’s also a fraction of the price of ACA insurance, so most of our members have access to an enormous war chest of pre-tax cash via their ICHRA Health Wallet. Most are able to cover their whole year of medical expenses and still have money left over.
The biggest winners of ICHRA are employees ages 65+.
